OFF-LINE AADHAR VERIFICATION
Government of India has announced a new rule for off-line Aadhar verification
Old rule: In government departments and banks, earlier online verification was allowed through:
- Demographic information verification
- OTP (one time pin) generation
- Biometric verification
- Fingerprint identication
- Iris identification
- QR Code
- Paperless e-kyc ( download able digitally signed)
- E-Aadhaar & Digilocker provided
- Virtual identity number( an additional number provided by UIDAI)can be used in place of Aadhar numbers
- Offline paper based verification
Note:
- Through SMS, email, or by off-line paper baesd Aadhar holder would be informed about status that he/she has been verified.
- A holder will be provided option for consent for Aadhar data use by requesters if he/she denied to give consent then then requester will have to delete all data stored of card holder for non-use in future.
- All governments departments and banks will accept only.
